Being a Certified Personal Trainer, through the American Council of Exercise (ACE), I have studied and completed numerous courses on Exercise Science, Weight Management, and Nutrition. As a former and current athlete, I have years of experience in strength training, athletic performance, powerlifting, boxing, and strict dieting manipulation. My entire life, I have been active with sports, health, and fitness. With an exposure to sports and physical activity at a young age, I fell in love with the challenge of the process of getting better each and everyday. Although I was blessed to have been introduced to fitness at a young age, it is never too late for anyone at any age to begin the journey.
My favorite part of fitness is the growth process of the longterm healthy and fit lifestyle. The reason I started personal training is different than most would imagine. Back in 2015, I suffered a traumatizing injury when I tore my ACL and meniscus in my right knee. During the rehab process, I had to take literal baby-steps, beginning with relearning how to walk. After months of slow but steady progression, I was able to regain my strength, enough to even dunk a basketball again. Those months of work are what made me fall in love with the process of progression. In turn, my life philosophy evolved from looking to hit personal short-term fitness goals into the fulfillment of constant improvement. Going through this transformation, I knew that I wanted to learn for myself, and to teach and help others with their personal growth. No matter the starting point, enjoying the process is all part of a fit lifestyle.
I have over a decade of experience in fitness, and I have worked with hundreds of clients in bettering their eating habits, physical performance, and overall health. My in-person training has allowed me to create real connections with clients and build good relationships with people through fitness and wellness. My next goal is to expand my skills and services to a wider range of people to help those who are looking to be better and are willing to push themselves to new heights in their fitness goals!
Fitness has changed my outlook on life by viewing any challenges as temporary speed bumps. The world is always going to challenge you, so why let it stop you from succeeding in what you can control? Eventually, as you take the reins on the small battles of life, you will come to realize that the small wins are just as valuable, if not more valuable than the dream destination. The only limits you have are those of which you place upon yourself.
I challenge anyone who is looking to find their internal fulfillment to take on a personal fitness goal, dig deep, and get after it!
